Which sites does it read?
X, Reddit and YouTube, and only the posts your feed shows you. It skips ads and promoted posts, and it doesn't run on any other site.
Does it post, like or follow anything?
No. Unscroll only reads. When you ask for a briefing it scrolls the feed for you to read more posts, then puts you back where you were.
What does it cost?
Nothing to start: 3 briefings a day on Unscroll Free, with no key and no account. With your own OpenAI or Anthropic key, or Chrome's built-in model, there is no daily limit. Pro, coming later, gives 20 a day on our server for $4.99 a month. See pricing.
Where do my posts go?
Only where the AI you picked runs: Unscroll's server (discarded once the briefing is written), OpenAI or Anthropic with your key, or nowhere at all with Chrome on-device. Unscroll keeps no copy of your feed on any server. Read the privacy policy.
Which languages?
Briefings are written in your feed's language, or in one of 20 you pick in Settings, Persian and Arabic included. The extension's own buttons and menus are in English for now.
Is my API key safe?
It stays in your browser's extension storage and is sent only to the provider it belongs to. It's stored in plain text, as with other bring-your-own-key extensions, so anyone with access to your browser profile could read it. Use a key you can revoke.
How is the time saved counted?
About 5 seconds for each post on X, 7 on Reddit and 6 on YouTube, minus 20 seconds to read each story. A post counts once per browser session, so refreshing the same feed adds nothing.
Does it work on my phone?
No. Unscroll is a Chrome extension for desktop and laptop computers.
